Container Freight Station (CFS) is a specialized cargo complex, which has received the status of an area of the Customs container control. It gives the opportunity to increase container throughput of the port.
Here the "Unified office" is created, where are located all services, which are involved in issuing the formalities for passing the containers through the border: Customs service office, Border guard detachment, Quarantine of plants office, Veterinary quarantine office, Port transport and forwarding department, Sanitary-epidemiological service, Ecological and radiological service and International Trucking Service (ITS).
The main principal of CFS operation is round the clock organization of the departure of about 1000 containers daily from the port and customs checkup of about 200 containers. An examination footlight permits operating 25 containers at once.
Container Freight Station there is the port territory, in the customs zone of the port. It consists of two storehouses of general area of 7000 square meters. Storehouses possess the status of permanently acting areas under customs control and allow to place on keeping any cargo according to carrier's order, bill of lading and packing list without preliminary customs or any other expenses.
